Houston, I think we have a problem!

It had been a couple weeks since the second UFO visited me at Stony Creek Lake. I have been complaining about my friends that wintessed the event, not responding to me for a couple of days. I assumed they were weirded out by the whole affair and needed some time on their own to think.

Then I saw Kid Twist from down the hallway. Obviously the kid's real name isn't Kid Twist, but he got that nickname when he was young, from the skate parks. He was one of the youngest kids to break out with a 720 at a skateboarding competition. Since the 720 consists of several twists, he soon inherited the name Kid Twist.

As I got closer I saw Twist talking to our mutual friend, The Greek. The roots of his nickname should be obvious. These were my to friends that drove home with me after we saw the UFO. It was Colt who freaked out and took off by himself when the UFO came.

As I approached Twist and the Greek, they noticed me and both stoppped talking, and turned to walk down the hallway, ignoring my existence completely.
Now, I'm no dummy, I know when I'm being avoided. These two haven't asnwered my phone calls and now they ran like a couple of girls when I approached them! I'm not one to go chasing after them. Sure they are the only close friends I have so far, but I'll make more.

So I decided to ignore them back. For two weeks this went on. It started to eat at me. Did I do something to offend them that night? Did they think I tricked them somehow? I did leave a few minutes before the UFO arrived, but it was obvious I was chasing my dog, and it had to have been obvious that I was white as a ghost when the UFO flew directly above me!

I finally decided that I wanted answeres. I deserved them. Kid Twist and the Greek had been good friends since they were young, but Colt wasn't. They met him just before they met me. He would have to be my angle to get in their heads. Besides, he would be more likely to crumble under pressure.

One day around suppertime I went to Colt's house. I knew he would be home. Sure enough he answered the door but he didn't seemed to shcoked to see me. "What's Sup?" I started.

"Hey man, I thought you would come eventually." Colt led me inside his home and upstairs to his room.

"What gave you that Idea?" I asked.

"No one wants to be ignored. I didn't want too, but I'm no Alpha male either. I figured you would sniff me out as the weak link and come knocking soon. I'm glad you did, Twist and the Greek are getting too wierd for even me." Colt explained and took a seat at his drum set. He was usually quite the talker.

"So what's their deal? Why am I being avoided?" I asked as I took a seat at his desk. He took the moment to bang around on his set for a minute.

"Basically, they think your weird." That was the best he gave me.

"I'm weird because some freakin' UFO came out of the sky and flew just above us! How is this my fault? Do they think I was driving the damn thing?" I didn't expect to get upset, that night, but this was rediculous.

"Sort of." Colt responded.

I had to laugh. "What do you mean?"

"Well, you were gone for like two hours. They looked all over for you. Then suddenly you came out of the forest, just after the lights appeared the second time and didn't bother to explain yourself."

"Two hours? The second time the lights appeared? I was gone for like twenty minutes, and I saw the lights too, they flew right above me. There wasn't a second appearance." I had know idea what they were talking about.

Colt didn't say anything for a moment. He just stared at me blankly and put his drumsticks down. "Red, you were gone for two hours! We looked for you forever dude! When the lights came back, that's when I took off. I didn't want to abandon you, but I didn't want to disappear too! I was going to go home and call the police, but then they text me and said they found you."

This didn't make any sense to me. I tried to go back and think about things, the order and the timeline, but everything is so hazey. I had so much excitement and adrenaline when the UFO came, that I chalked up the bluriness of everything to that. It wasn't until Colt asked me about how dark it was when the UFO first came. It was sunset, but when they found me, it was dark out. I remember noticing how dark it was, but I assumed it was the lights had been so bright that my eyes were still a little weird.

Colt and I went over our different sides of the story and we both decided we had to talk to Twist and the Greek. I had to know the truth. I was beginning to think they were playing a trick on me. Could that UFO have abducted me and erased my memory? Things are begining to feel like a weird SCI-FI movie for me!
